Gateway Financial Group
A word from our CEO Todd Petersen,
After speaking with thousands of people through the years we have come to believe that financial goals can be categorized into three distinct phases of life:
- Pre-Retirement: the accumulation phase, where you gather assets
- Retirement: the bridge-building phase, where you shift from the work world to the retirement world
- Post-Retirement: the conservation phase, where you endeavor to both preserve and pass on your assets
Each phase is unique, and is best supported by active planning, monitoring and adjusting, as you move from one financial phase to the next.
We have also learned at Gateway Financial Group that over reliance on a single strategy, such as buy and hold mutual funds, can prove disastrous to your overall financial health. For example, such a sole strategy during the market crash of 2008 caused many to see their retirement dreams crushed or greatly reduced their post-retirement lifestyle.
Because of this, we advocate the use of multiple strategies, multiple financial products, and multiple economic perspectives that, when combined, greatly increase the likelihood of a successful financial outcome--no matter what phase of life you currently live.
We are an experienced multi-generational company that is privileged to serve clients in many parts of the United States. We include high net-worth professionals, widows, middle class clients and those who are just starting out. All are bound with the common two-pronged goal of competitive growth with maximum safety. We are also active members of our own community who take pride in offering a different approach to financial management, with all kinds of people in mind.
